Why Airports Feel like Home?

There is no place like home, but there is a place that not only comforts me but gives me the joy of family and professional life. My single status is real in the physical world, but when I step into the realm of an airport, I sincerely feel the bliss of a happy marital life. I lead the perfect life in my imagination at the airport – a wife, two kids, a pet, and a cosy home. Yes, that is how an airport makes me feel. 

The airports have become competitive. Both - domestic and global. From musical events, premium services, lounges, and retail. Each airport showcases its uniqueness as if it is a museum. 

To define it best, perhaps an airport does all these things to let you know that you are travelling to your destination and are just one step away from achieving your dreams. So, get a taste of what success feels like.

Most of us fall into a trap, and so did I. People pleasing is dangerous, and if you don’t come out of it, it becomes an addiction for which no rehab has a fix.

The worst part is when you do things for people, you become obsolete for yourself and forget the things you love to do. It took me a year to get out of the trap, but I am healing myself and aviation has a big role. 

The last time I flew was in September 2022 for an official trip. Since then, I travelled to my most visited destination since 2014. Mostly road trips and overnight bus journeys. I have loved going there but wanted to do something different this time. So, without hesitation, I booked a flight ticket from Delhi to Guwahati.

Guwahati is in East India, and the East attracts me a lot. So, I wanted to start from Assam.

Flight number IX 787 Air India Express will always have a special place in my heart.

I will have a lot of photographs to showcase aviation, but the photographic memory I have sitting on that flight capturing aviation angles will only be in my heart. Now, this may sound strange, but it is how I feel. You can witness incredible vistas from different flights, but what I saw on this flight was probably magic. The view of Mount Kanchenjunga flying above the Trans-Himalayan range. Here is a photo for all of you.
